Our history as a company through our projects.

We like to emphasize that ICN-Artea has grown in a parallel way to the tourist industry of our country, and therefore our history is linked to the evolution of Spanish tourism. Although we have a proven track record across of all spectrums of the industry, we particularly type of destinies, we feel especially close to the cultural, heritage and urban tourism, in which we have developed our more signature projects.

Our project portfolio can be viewed through three main blocks which contextualize our work through a historical framework:

THE BEGINNING: Years 92-98. These years represent the birth and growth of cultural tourism. El Camino de Santiago, the first steps in the interpretation of heritage, the increase of guided tours, the itineraries, the union of culture and tourism, the first products, the importance of formation.

THE INNER TOURISM BOOM: Years 99-06. Tourism begins to emerge as an industry driven by public bodies. City councils, regions and other forms of local government, start to impulse and develope strategic tourist planning. Cuéllar, Trives, Ávila….,There are also new centers of interpretation, and the supply of tourist- related products multiplies. Management begins to play a central role in the success of projects.

THE NEW TOURISM: The awareness of the need for new strategies; the creation of a strategic horizon of tourism in 2020. Differentiation through marketing becomes important again to develop a new strategy for destinies. The export of the Spanish model of tourism to developing tourist makes abroad.
